the one who should be sleeping

31 08 2008
I should be sleeping right now, considering that I only got 2 hours of sleep this morning. Haha. Oh well. But I did also took a nap just this afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30 I think. So that’s plus 3 hours, and makes my total number of sleeps for the past two days to be 5 hours. Haha. Yeah!  A lot of events took place these past few days so I wasn’t able to dedicate what’s left of my time to blogging. Haha. But since tomorrow is a Monday, and ofcourse now, Mondays for UP students is a rest day, I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I blog before I go to sleep right?

Hmmmmmm… Let’s see.

Well Friday was like hell. I went to Pila to get my left license only to find out that they have actually lost it.

Crap. And they blamed me for losing it. They said that I should’ve taken my license long ago. They were suggesting me to cut class just to get my student driver’s license. Great. No wonder people don’t get as far as they want to go. x_X.

But I didn’t really waste my trip since I was able to attend the lecture and get my affidavit (is it the right spelling) stating that I did lose my license. Oh well. Haha. x_X.

Later that night, I went to dinner with Ms. Drill Night. Haha. Because we actually had free dinner sponsored by our ROTC class officers since we did win. Haha. Why does food always taste better when it’s free?

Afterwhich, I went straight to C-Park to attend our batch practice in preparation for our batch presentation. To be honest, we weren’t really in the mood to practice. Everyone was so tired that it seemed as though tension was all over the place. Haha. Not to mention the sense of pressure since the presentation would be the next day. Yeah! But, things turned out pretty well and we were able to go home before 11:00 pm. Haha.

Our recent training day in ROTC is quite brutal (relatively) compared to the other training days. We were crawling here and there, with no shade, at about 10:30 am to 11:30 am, rushing for our “lives” holding our rifles, and with the sun up with her shining glory and land we were crawling on heating up like an oven toaster. Crap. Haha. It was fun at first, but when it lasted a little longer, it wasn’t fun at all. Haha. We all had bruises in our elbows – some bleeding, some were just plain skin “peelings”. Nice term isn’t it?

Then induction ball came. Haha. We were supposed to wear barongs so I rented one earlier. It was a nice

event, so much like the prom – seeing the girls turning into ladies with their gowns and the boys, from shirts and shorts to slacks and barongs. Haha. It started kinda late though, thereby delaying the program and food as well. Haha. The event ended around 12:00 if I’m not mistaken, and afterwhich people went on to different paths – some left, some went swimming (since it is a resort after all), some drank, some slept, and some just watched people do what they are actually doing. Haha.

Then we left the resort around 3:30am and went back to our place. Haha. Mind you, this was a spontaneous act. Haha. Not really my plan but I guess my mind wasn’t thinking straight so I agreed. Good thing that my parents didn’t disagree or anything. The only problem was when it came down to sleeping – we had to pack 4 of ourselves in a double-sized bed. Too bad the other two slept in the floor. Sorry guys. But I think they had more sleep than we did. Haha.

We woke up at around 7am (considering we slept at around 4:30am) and played around with the PSP. Haha.

We took turns since we only have one. And before they left the house, we indulged ourselves with the webcam of the laptop so as not to waste the “experience”. Haha. Yeah! (see my multiply for our pictures!)

Oh well. I guess that’s basically it. Nothing much really. Just an ordinary week. x_X.

Time after time, I tell myself that I’m so lucky to be loved by you

the one feeling mixed feelings

28 08 2008

Mixed results corresponds to mixed feelings as well. Apparently, it’s one hell of a roller-coaster ride today, especially the results of my exams.

My Chem40 exam(s) were not yet released since Ma’am hasn’t finished checking our bluebooks.

Math tentative standings were released, and to my surprise (really, it is a surprise for me), I got a relatively high standing. Yeah! Haha. That’s good news. But that’s only tentative standing, so worst case scenario would be two steps lower I guess. Haha. Oh well.

SoSc2 exams were given hours ago and frankly, I was noy surprised at all. I guess this would be my first failed exam in UP huh? Haha. Oh well. I guess I really suck when it comes to GE subjects. I never really expected myself to ace those subjects, but I always do try (though not always my best). I was not surprised because I know that I wasn’t listening during his lectures, and that my mind always flies away during class period. Haha. So now, I guess I need to listen more to sir and do more notes, and if I need to, I guess some research on the net would help. Haha. What my score in the exam I won’t tell. There’s still a probability that I would pass that last exam since Sir hasn’t finished checking the essay part. Haha. Oh well.

We also had a surprise quiz in Phlo today which was… I don’t know, surprising? Surprising in a bad way since it was after all a surprise. But it was also surprising in a good way since I was able to get a higher score than expected (though not passing). Haha. Oh well. Guess I’ll have to do better next time. Yeah!

Mixed feelings right? I guess that’s why I chose an engineering course – because relatively, I do good with math and the natural sciences. The humanities and social sciences, not so much at all. Haha. I guess I can’t be good at everything right? Haha. Oh well.

Tomorrow would be another busy day, so I’ll have to sleep early to recharge myself. Haha. Yeah!

That’s a secret I’ll never tell.

the one with a busy week

27 08 2008
So internet at home is not working well as of this morning, just when I needed it the most. x_X. Oh well. I guess it happens sometimes (or rather most of the time).

Anyways, this week is another busy week. Yes. Busy. I can’t really say it’s hell becuase it’s not. There are no long exams this week, but there are quite A LOT of requirements that needs to be done, and A LOT of events that I need to attend to. Let’s see.

In a few minutes, we would have a quiz in Math class in which I haven’t studied a single thing since my classmate, who by the way was also my schoolmate in high school and up to now, borrowed my notebook. He kinda needed it more than I do (I think) so I lent my notebook. But now that I am practically thirty minutes from the quiz, I kind wish I had my notebook all along. I guess I would just go to class early so as to “review” with my other classmates, assuming that I can actually study in that kind of scenario. x_X.

Later this afternoon/evening, we would have another GA. Great. x_X.

Also, I would need to type our group Philo paper that would be due the next day. 25 Filipino words that have the same spelling but have different meaning. It may be of different dialects, as long as the dialect is native to the Philippines.

Tomorrow. Well, nothing’s on tomorrow as of now. But I think I would have practice/meeting for our Philo activity since we have to submit a radio play next week. x_X. Too many requirements for Philo.

Friday, I think, would be the day where I would try to divide myself into several copies so as to attend the needs of everyone. Haha. I’ll have a dinner event for ROTC, practice for our batch presentation in the upcoming induction (i think practice would be at our house), and even REST for the next day.

Saturday wouldn’t be rest day this week. I would once again wake up early and go to ROTC for about 5 hours. Then by 3 pm, I’ll be needing to go to my driving school to attend another lecture for 2 hours. And by 7pm, I need to be at the resort for the induction ball, which I think would last until the next day.

Great week isn’t it? Not so much of acads but still, it’s a tiring week to look “forward” to. Oh well. Guess it happens once in a while right? Or maybe even more than once in a while. Haha. x_X.

I’m hearing all these words but I just can’t make a sound

the one about evening

24 08 2008

So I just finished watching Evening in HBO, and I must say, it is a good movie. I don’t really know if it’s that great but it’s definitely worth watching. Though somehow, I think the ending wasn’t appropriate. It kinda left me hanging for something more. Haha. I guess I expected too much. Nevertheless, it is still a movie that I can recommend for people to watch, especially those who are of the romantic-kinda type of people. Haha.

But I did love the singing part of Claire Danes. I don’t know if that was lip-sync or what but it definitely was a scene worth watching. I got goosebumps while watching that scene. Haha.

I didn’t do anything much today. Went to church, played PSP, ate, slept, played some more, ate some more, watch some, and internet once again. Haha. I’m so lazy and unproductive lately, and yet I’ve been complaining about the things I am not able to do becuase of the limited time in a day. Haha. Maybe I need to rephrase that. I am not able to do the things I like/need/want to do because there is only a limited time that I am “alive and kickin’” to do those things. Haha. Oh well.

I only know what I know.

the one who became mr. drill night

23 08 2008
“I will go down with this ship, and I won’t put my hands up and surrender. There will be no white flag above my door, and I’m in love, and always will be”

Haha. I was just watching HBO when I watched the commercial trailer of Evening. It would be premiering on HBO tomorrow, I think. Or is it next Sunday? Haha. Never mind. But I do think that the movie is great. I don’t know why. Maybe because Meryl Streep and Claire Danes are on the same movie. Haha. Yeah! Anyways, I’m really anticipating this movie, so I hope I would like it. Haha.

I have so much to tell.

Last night was our drill night. It’s like ROTC students’ night out with partying and all that (except for alcoholic drinks ofcourse). Every platoon needs to come up with a production number, and luckily we won! The reward is a whopping 75 merits for each member of the platoon, so that was really really rewarding. Plus, we really worked hard for it, so I guess we deserve it. Haha. Feeling.

Also, that was not the only surprising thing that happende. Jizza, who was my grade6 schoolmate and coincidentally is taking up ROTC just like me, and I won the Mr. and Ms. Drill Night 2008! Haha. Very funny because we never really expected to win. When we are asked to put on our best pose as a pair, we just actually stood there and smiled at everyone, unlike the others who had time to think about their pose and really put up something on the stage. But like we said, honesty is the best policy. Haha. Oh well. I guess this is something I would never forget.

Another thing – it’s not everyday that I get to attend a party that has a rave. Haha. Yeah! Last night, I was dancing my heart every song, and really it was a nice feeling. But when it came to the mushy-lovey-sweet love songs, I was all out. I just sat there by the corner and watched the people dancing with some other person in a very… “romantic” kind of way. Then it struck me. Something I can’t really explain, or perhaps something that I don’t want to explain. But I guess all of you has pretty much a good idea about how things went for me. Then again, that’s part of life I guess, until you meet that special someone, or actually realize that she is your special someone.

Too dramatic…

Regarding my driving lessons, I was able to attend my first lecture class this afternoon. To my surprise, I was actually supposed to attend 6 meetings of the lecture class every Saturday from 3pm to 5pm to receive a certificate of proficiency from the driving school. X_x. Oh well. I’m still thinkin whether to get the certificate or not. It would require a big effort on my part, but I guess it’s somewhat worth it in the end. Oh well. Depends on my mood. Haha.

So I guess that’s pretty much what happened. Haha. Yeah!

ALPHA FIRST! BONGGANG BONGGA!

Don’t stop me now, don’t need to catch my breath, I can go on and on and on.

the one when it ends early

19 08 2008
It’s not everytime that our GA ends very early. Really, it doesn’t. And that is why I am home early (relatively) compared to other nights. Haha. Yeah! But I think it’s kind of a waste since I really don’t have anything to do or any homework that is due tomorrow. Haha. Oh well.

Earlier this morning, I woke up at 8am. While I was eating breakfast, my mind kept debating about whether I should go to Pila and attend the seminar to be able to get my student driver’s license or not. In thew end though, laziness took over, and I finally decided not to go. Besides, it’s too risky, especially when my first clas for the day/afternoon is organic chemistry. x_X.

I was supposed to type my Philo script for our skit this coming Thursday when I turned on the TV and saw Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale on the screen of my TV. Instantly, I took off my eyes towards my TV because I instantly knew that it was The Prestige. I really like this movie. Even though I’ve watched it a couple of times, the movie never ceases to amaze me, and even mystify itself. Haha. I just found out that the movie was based on a novel. I’m planning to find a copy of the book and read it. Haha. For those who haven’t watch the film yet, I advise you to watch it. For those who have HBO, the movie is premiered this week, I think. Hehe.

Anyways, I just sent a gazillion messages to people informing them about my new number. Haha. And up to now, my phone is not yet finished sending those messages. Haha. Oh well. x_X.

Tomorrow’s a Wednesday, so that means that I would have to go to school very early once again. x_X. Oh well.

Being cold is simply inhumane.
